We’re looking for a Field Asset Specialist to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario
The Opportunity:
Field Asset Specialist assists with appraisals, tracking appraisal data and tracking risk inventory. In this role, you will also assist with Detailed Equipment Information and special projects as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.
In this role you’ll:
Analyze and prioritize the assets; establish a reasonable timeline for inspection completion and determine which site is best suited for the efficient completion of a project
Ensure inspection conditions are safe; determine if extra resources are required to meet deadlines
Liaise with territory managers to improve time management and customer interactions
Identify high-performing territory manager’s and assist with their business units
Represent Ritchie Bros. at various internal and external events
Assist with large appraisals and large projects within Eastern Canada, Detail Equipment Information (DEI), and Strategic Accounts as directed
Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
Here’s what you bring:
2-3 years’ experience with auctions (Operations or Sales)
Knowledge of heavy equipment and transportation
Ability to operate a variety of trucks and equipment
First Aid Certification
High School diploma.
This job will require you to:
Work primarily from the Thunderbay site office and on the road
Attend 4 to 6 auction sales, 1 to 2 days each in duration within the region, where you’ll assist colleagues
Travel overnight approximately 5 to 15 days per month to cover multiple territories, and 1 to 2 days prior to each auction sale.
