The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.
The Bell Business Market Consolidation Finance team supports a variety of stakeholders in the BBM operations team and Corporate. The team is responsible for financial planning, forecasting & reporting. The mandate of the team is to deliver insightful financial information & analysis in order to influence decision making and drive greater focus on profitability, while ensuring financial integrity.
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for forecasting, planning, governance, and financial analysis as well as involvement in various projects. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work both independently and collaboratively, seeking out solutions and opportunity for process improvements.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Build clear and insightful reports from financial systems to support financial analysis
- Take an active role in the preparation of planning and forecasts
- Challenge the status quo and seek out opportunities to achieve cost savings
- Work with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and process improvement
- Assist with special requests from the executive team
- Dynamic environment with tremendous opportunity for growth and development
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. Accounting designation or working towards obtaining one (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) would be an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial analysis or business planning
- Strong leadership and analytical skills and ability to work with senior management
- Knowledge & skill with systems particularly Excel, BPC/Teradata advantageous
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, work on various deliverables simultaneously, prioritize, and deliver accurate results
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Capacity to summarize and to provide recommendations
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
