Job description: Summary Of Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Incumbent will be joining the Product Control Team, who support client and are responsible for providing overall end-to-end accountability for the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of optimized processes and controls for financial reporting.
- The successful candidate will primarily manage P&L Reporting (reconcile files/numbers, ensure accuracy) and P&L Attribution.
- They will also be required to identify gaps and issues, or areas of potential improvement and implement their recommendations for process improvements.
- Scope of work may include:
o Ensuring strong financial controls and efficient processes around the P&L, Attribution, Balance Sheet, and Independent Pricing Verification and Valuation Adjustment processes for client
o Effectively challenge, propose, and champion projects to improve efficiencies, to provide more efficient business support through end-to-end controls and continued process enhancement
o Acting as a business product control function and the financial guardian of the client sales and trading activities.
o Ensuring the overall Product Control function conducts independent validation of the value of the trading portfolios/books.
o Working with the businesses and the new business product groups to evaluate and integrate new products and businesses into our financial environment and build in appropriate controls to ensure integrity for financial records
o Provisioning reliable and meaningful financial information to business managers, external stakeholders, and other relevant internal stakeholders.
o Working closely with the trading desk, trade support, syndicate accounting, technology, financial control, and other infrastructure areas to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
o Proactively partnering with and support the business to develop business, financial, operational, and/or strategy for the organization.
o Ensuring alignment between business and enterprise financial goals / thresholds
Must-Have:
- Experience with Equity Derivatives (specifically Products such as Swaps, Futures)
- Prior experience with P&L reporting
- Strong Excel & VBA skills, with working knowledge of running a Python tool
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
Nice To Have:
- CPA, CFA, or MBA an asset
- Previous experience working in one of the other big banks

Degree/Certifications Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics (Engineering, Physics, Computer Science) or other quantitative disciplines
Interview Process:
- First round interview with HM + senior manager for a 1hr duration; may be called back for a second round
