Job description: The US Due Diligence Team’s Sub Account Creation Pod’s objective will be to function as the primary interface for coordinating and executing all new Sub Account creation. The team’s goal will be to ensure an efficient, global and consistent first class service to all new clients.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Due Diligence Officer: Working within a team to facilitate and provide a complete transversal on -boarding service for CIB. Also providing feedback and escalating issues to the appropriate support functions; the Front Office and the Americas Due Diligence Head.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for collecting and review of AML documents in accordance with the current procedures
  • Provide additional checks on files as a second layer control
  • Notify compliance if documentation or identification appears to be fraudulent or suspicious
  • Present clients with a high AML score to the Client Acceptance Committee
  • Issue reports to inform the Business of outstanding AML due diligence documentation that may be provided post opening or temporarily waived or deferred by CAC
  • Provide production / incidents reports to management
  • Ensure the day to day production is timely completed
  • Monitor the progress of the workflow
  • Ensure follow up of critical issues
  • Ensure our process is consistent globally but adapted to local rules
  • Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes and assist with the update of procedures

TEAM SPIRIT:

  • Work within a team – with an adaptable flexible approach and coordinate with team members and with the different platforms across the world Communication
  • Liaise regularly with clients, compliance, other support functions including internally within the Global Due Diligence Teams, due diligence Managers and local Business officers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrate awareness of the USA patriotic Act, the JMLSG UK Guidance notes for the prevention of money laundering and the 3rd European Money Laundering Directive
  • Understand the principles of Global Markets and Corporate Banking
  • Aware of various types of trading entities – hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, limited, private and public companies, holding companies, trust’s etc.

Soft Skills :

  • Knowledge of the due diligence and local money laundering requirements
  • Business Knowledge of Global Markets and Corporate Banking
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to think globally / see the overall picture
  • Strong appetite for organization
  • Ability to multi task

Ability to follow an issue through to its conclusion
