My client is a reputable and dynamic boutique-sized law firm located in Oakville, Ontario. With a commitment to excellence, we provide comprehensive legal services to our diverse client base. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our team and contribute to the firm’s success.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Finance and Operations Manager to oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of my client’s boutique-sized law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, operations, and management, with a focus on optimizing processes and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

• Streamline and optimize internal processes to enhance overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Oversee administrative functions, including facilities management and vendor relationships.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Work closely with legal teams to address compliance issues related to financial matters.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance and administrative professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation is an asset.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in a legal environment.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and accounting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Knowledge of legal compliance and risk management is an advantage.

COMPENSATION

• $90,000-$100,000
• Vacation Allowance
• Health Benefits
• Hybrid working available.
