Job description: Cheslatta Carrier Nation is seeking the services of a Finance Assistant. The role will include processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, recording receipts of monies, performing routine reconciliations, producing analyses and reports, and helping to oversee and manage individual accounts as directed.

This is a full time permanent position offering excellent long term advancement opportunities for candidates who are interested in pursuing an education and career in accounting and finance. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a finance environment with knowledge of accounting principles and business practices

• Excellent mathematical, customer service and communication skills

• Experience with spreadsheet and accounting software and the ability to learn new software programs quickly

• Understanding of data privacy standards

• Integrity and honesty

• Exceptional planning, problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
