- Complete for tax manager all HST, GST, VAT and withholding tax filings and payments.
- Coordinate the Kinectrics vehicle license plate and CVOR renewals.
- Ensure monthly completion of journal entry and balance sheet binders.
- Back up support for accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and input data to appropriate business and accounting systems.
- Process financial transactions, checking for accuracy and making the necessary corrections.
- Assist in the analysis of costs and revenues; review and reconcile other various accounts for the balance sheet and income statements as requested.
- Process updates to data bases; perform clerical duties; perform calculations and update statistical spreadsheets and databases.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skill/Experience
- Completion of a three-year community college program in accounting or equivalent training and experience (university degree preferred)
- A period of at least 6 years in an accounting environment is considered necessary and preferred enrollment in the CPA program
- Knowledge of Concur expense reporting system
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and Canadian GAAP
- Knowledge of payroll and burden accounting
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP FICO and PS modules
- Demonstrated capability of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
- High level of organizational skills
- Good customer service skills and ability to deal with internal and external contacts
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in resolving problems
