Job description: MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.

The Finance Liquidity & Foreign Exposure Reporting team oversees the implementation of system capabilities and end-to-end processes to produce timely and accurate liquidity and foreign country exposure reports. Working closely with ALMT, the Finance Liquidity Reporting team is implementing systems and processes to produce the liquidity (FR 2052a, US LCR, EU LCR, Maturity Ladder,) and foreign exposure (FFIEC 009, Y-15) related regulatory (FRB, ECB) and management reporting for IHC/CUSO entities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has the following responsibilities:

Oversee the production of Liquidity reports and metrics to meet regulatory as well as internal reporting requirements

Maintain thorough understanding of all internal and regulatory requirements related to Liquidity.

Coordinate the end-to-end production process; ensure proper coordination with all stakeholders and contributors

Perform analyses on production results, and escalate as required

Prepare and present reports for key governance forums, regulatory meetings, as well as other management meetings

Lead in issue resolution and the development of appropriate tools to apply controls efficiently and reliably to a reporting environment in constant evolution.

Oversee the implementation of future enhancements on system, tools, and processes.

Lead the Finance production teams in completing all operational tasks and activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of all deliverables (e.g. reconciliations

Contribute to the development of the team’s skills and professional careers via review of their training program and performance review

Develop relationships and rapport with senior management and other key stakeholders across various departments such as Finance, Treasury, Operations, Technology, etc.

Qualifications

TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 8 years work experience in the Financial Services Industry

Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields, CPA being a plus

Strong analytical skill, detail oriented and control mindset including ability to synthesize complex business problems and conduct detailed analysis with clarity and brevity

Strong leadership skills with an ability to collaborate virtual teams and colleagues across the regions

Strong organizational skills, rigorous and self-disciplined

Ability to plan, prioritize, and escalate with senior management

Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines

Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, IFRS and US GAAP

Audit and Regulatory reporting experiences preferred
