In this role, you will:
- Oversee and manage the monthly deadlines.
- Oversee and manage the AP function.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts for month end and year-end close.
- Maintain GRNI/SRNI accounts.
- Review and post journal entries.
- Review and approve payment batches.
- Process, post and/or review customer invoicing prior to submission.
- Review and locking timecards in Ceridian DayForce.
- Verify payroll and DayForce time and rates are consistent.
- Review, process and post payroll journal entries.
- Assist with weekly cash forecast.
- Assist with monthly management reports.
- Audit support as required.
- Other duties as necessary
As our ideal candidate,
- You hold a minimum of a Bachelors of Commerce with a focus in Accounting or combination of education and relevant experience.
- You have a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Accountant or similar.
- Experience working a fast-paced, high volume, deadline- focused work environment is considered an asset
- You have detail-oriented, have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem resolution skills
- You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
