Department Overview

The Finance Operations (FinOps) Center, located in Greater Moncton, New Brunswick, is an integral part of TD Finance, delivering finance services with a commitment to operational excellence.

Our core Finance teams help to make TD the Better Bank by working together to deliver insightful advice, meaningful reporting and professional operations The TD Finance operating model is comprised of three main parts:
– Finance Operations – a centralized team performing a range of services such as general accounting, reporting, and transaction processing on behalf of Finance and the Enterprise
– Business Partner – perform analytics and provide advice to the business to support strategy and decision-making
– Specialized Functions – providing domain or knowledge-based expertise to the Enterprise

  • Enrolment in an accounting designation (CMA or CGA)

Job Description

  • In partnership with Wholesale Bank Business Partners colleagues perform the monthly and quarterly management reporting process on a timely and accurate basis, responsibilities include;

o Preparation/loading tracking of management entries for P&L, Invested Capital and Tax
o NIBT and NIAT result analysis/reconciliation
o Preparation of business line tax analysis
o Business Line Results (BLR) review and distribution

  • Financial Report to Executives (FRE) review and verification for Wholesale Bank Segment
  • Wholesale Bank Segment EMRS filter maintenance review and processing as required
  • Population of quarterly Wholesale Bank Segment supplemental page for management review
  • Processing centralized PCA’s in support of Wholesale Bank Segment and act as a back-up for Corporate segment expense PCA process.
  • Processing restatement journal entries for Corporate Segment and Wholesale Bank Segment as required
  • Perform all tasks involved in reviewing, processing and verifying maintenance requests for both TDS and Corporate segment in a back-up capacity
  • Participate in ad hoc requests and departmental projects supporting Corporate Segment and Wholesale Bank Segment as required
  • Involvement in departmental process improvement and change management as directed
  • Production of monthly departmental scorecard

Additional Information

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred
  • An accounting background (financial or management reporting and/or planning & forecasting), with a sound understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet basics
  • Attention to detail to deliver materials timely and accurately
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
