Why is this role important?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Finance Projects, the incumbent will be responsible to provide operational and financial insights of Accounts Receivable activity in the Pharmaprix stores in Quebec affecting our Associates Owners’ (store owners’) business. The role is to gather information, work with various in-store contacts, document processes and work with the AR Project team on requirements with the eventual testing, training, piloting and implementation of the new AR system.

The role will provide support to the SDM AR Project team on the needs, current limitations and future requirements of supporting each Quebec store’s Accounts Receivable. The role provides better insight into the drivers of what is affecting the stores and identifying the differences affecting stores within the chain.

This role will have an impact within the broader organization around insights, influence and data integrity. This role will generate insights for the business that will help build an understanding about financial processes at store level. This role will work with the Senior management team to influence changes that can improve efficiencies in the store.

The unique regulatory requirements of Quebec creates the need for an additional contract position on the SDM AR project team, with a mandate to design, test, pilot, train and implement the SAP/ HighRadius Accounts Receivable solution in the Quebec Pharmaprix stores. This role will work with the Project team to influence changes that can improve efficiencies in the store.

The candidate should have a good understanding of the current state Accounts Receivable processes in the Quebec Pharmaprix stores.

Job Requirements include:

  • The ability to gather and distill information from the field to support requirements for the new application.
  • Candidate should be fluent in both French (stores) and English (project team)
  • Investigate and gather system functionalities by calling SDM/PHX stores
  • Willingness to learn new systems from other users.
  • Ability to work well within a structured project and team.
  • Experience in User Acceptance Testing, store piloting and testing is an asset (but not absolutely required)
  • The ability to work effectively with other teams such as Training and Development, Organization Change Management (OCM)
  • The ability to generate insights for the business that will help build the Account Receivable processes at store level in Quebec
  • Create training material and communications for stores and resources

Skill and Experience

  • Financial System knowledge in SDM/Pharmaprix Quebec is a must
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – Bilingual (French/English)
  • Knowledge of LITES Accounts Receivable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen
  • Willing to learn and embrace change
  • Experience working in Finance
  • Able to take initiative and work independently, and to proactively seek guidance when necessary.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to achieve project timelines.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to MS-Office (Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of AssystRx, is an asset.
  • Sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks and ability to assist others to meet deliverables.
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to successfully work in a (‘virtual’) team environment.
