Position Description:

The Finance Transformation Manager will work with the Atlas Corp. and its subsidiaries’ Accounting and Finance teams to scope solutions and strategies on finance business transformation. This position will also be responsible for the successful implementation and go-live of any key business transformational process and system changes. This role will also hold key responsibilities to drive through efficiencies, process improvement and implementation of systems-based approaches to work. Lastly this role will work with Business Transformation team to lead enterprise-wide key strategic transformation initiatives.

This position guides and drives forward key projects to deliver a best in class Finance and Accounting functions across the Atlas group of companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses and identifies root causes for sub-optimal work processes, including presents issues, findings and recommends solutions identified with the root cause without compromising internal controls/SOX requirements
  • Develops financial transformation plan, including developing reporting processes and financial operating model with the intention of optimizing our efficiencies
  • Leads or assists with the implementation of financial processes and solutions that are scalable for a large international organization, with specific focus on the cross functional process
  • Demonstrate strong business analytics skill and fluent IT literacy in proposing and executing solutions
  • Develops and implements key process framework to deliver overall efficiency improvement
  • Partners with and owns the relationships with relevant departments to deliver successful solutions to meet corporate wide strategies and requirements
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to perform analysis of/testing of solutions for feasibility, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Operates as a project management conduit to ensure timely and effective stakeholder communication, project status updates and the management of deadlines and resources, and reporting on project risks/issues and benefits realized to date
  • Develop business requirements for technology solutions, support testing requirements and support training programs associated with technology change
  • Is future-focused on identifying opportunities, prioritization and planning, building out plans for next phases of business transformation
  • Oversee UAT where required
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset to support a world-class finance and accounting practices, acting as a project sponsor when required
  • Assist in and develops project reporting, management documentation and project charters Provide post implementation user support and training
  • Ensures high priority issues are addressed, resolved and/or escalated as necessary

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business/Accounting from a recognized institution
  • Professional Accounting or Finance Designation (CPA)
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Project or engagement management experience
  • Process design experience
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligent tools and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Familiar with functions of ERP, financial systems and software

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP or relevant project management experience
  • Change management experience
  • Lean 6 sigma certification or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; good writing style
  • Proactive and confident in independent decision making
  • Effective leadership skills and cross functional working style
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Flexible and focused
