Job Description
The General Accountant will drive best practices in accounting, financial reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will provide a variety of accounting functions with precision and timeliness, including preparing monthly financial statements, analysis and assisting in financial audits.
What you’re responsible for:
- Performing a variety of financial tasks from start to finish, including entry, reporting, reconciliation and financial analysis.
- Performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining general ledgers.
- Reconciling bank accounts daily.
- Monitoring and reconciling cash activities for all sites.
- Assisting in preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.
- Preparing, entering and adjusting journal entries.
- Recommending enhancements and improvements to existing processes
- Day to day accounting related queries and other ad hoc reporting and duties as required.
Qualifications
- Accounting Degree or Diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in performing account reconciliations and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
- Self-Motivated with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent Excel Skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
