Job description: Our Opportunity – General Laborer

Spectrum is seeking General Laborers for our 2021 summer season projects. General laborers will be responsible for piling (fiber/wood) and/or crush, burning piles, and completing tree pruning and slashing on both industrial sites and in a forest setting.

Contract Length: On-call/as needed (shift can vary from five-to-ten days)

Expected Start Date: Mid-May

Location: Sites throughout the Cariboo Region (primarily around Williams Lake, BC Canada)

Compensation: $200.00 – $325.00 per day (day rate based on 10.0 to 12.0 hours)

The role of General Labor includes:

• Completing various online orientations,
• The ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts,
• Able to lift 20 kilograms over shoulder height repetitively, and,
• Work safely and efficiently around a variety of equipment.

What You Bring

• Safety focused,
• Valid Class 5 Driver s License and clean Driver s Abstract,
• A mechanical inclination is a strong asset,
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test/site access tests (based on client requirements),
• Valid occupational first aid (OFA) level one certificate is an asset,
• Valid OFA transportation endorsement certification is an asset,
• Valid Enform H2S Alive Certificate is an asset,
• Demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a team,
• Previous experience operating ATV s and pick-up trucks safely on various road conditions will be considered an asset, and,
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.
