Job title: General Foreperson

Job description: Jardeg is seeking a General Foreperson to join our team at Cenovus Sunrise, near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a full time, temporary position on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, with 12 hour work days.

General Forepersons are responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on a construction project site as delineated in the applicable project execution procedures, site specific safety plan and project execution plan.

Responsibilities:

• Organizes, and coordinates construction activities on a job site.
• Assists in the implementation and enforcement of project procedures, schedules, cost controls and reporting.
• Requests and coordinates movement of tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and lead times.
• Identifies potential changes to project scope and advises project superintendent of associated impacts.
• Assists in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction area.
• Monitors contractors, trades performance, progress, and productivity.
• Ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020 Certificate
• H2S Alive Certificate
• Fall Protection Certificate
• Confined Space Certificate
• Valid mask fit test completed through our third party vendor
• 3 Year Driver’s Abstract

This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements: Effective October 30, 2021 travelers departing from Canadian airports, and travelers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, will be required to be fully vaccinated to travel.
