The General Labourer position is responsible for performing packaging, clean-up and other elemental activities related to food processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Feed cartons into machines
  • Check and weigh materials and/or product
  • Manually pack product into bags, cartons or other containers
  • Remove finished goods cartons from conveyer and place on pallets
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to meet physical walking and standing requirements for 8-12 hours
  • Good oral communication
  • Able to tolerate cold and wet conditions and wear appropriate PPE
  • Work up to 48 hours a week with required weekend overtime when needed
