We are looking for GENERAL LABOURERS for our clien’s sawmill in NAIRN CENTRE, in Ontario.

Reporting to the production supervisor, you will be performing various tasks related to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stacking lumber bundles for drying, ensuring proper placement of stickers.
• Operating various plant equipment to ensure flow of lumber and maintain quality and efficiency of process.
• Rotating through various roles within the assigned area.
• Clean-up of the mill and yard, sweeping and shoveling sawdust and picking up broken pieces of wood.
• Training on various other roles as required.
• Perform other duties as required to ensure efficiency of the production process.

• Teamworking skills.
• Autonomy and initiative.
• Exercise vigilance and adhere to all health/safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Relevant experience is an asset.
• Be available to work on day and/or night shifts as well as weekends.
