THE OPPORTUNITY

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time General Labourer to work Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm. The wage range for this role is $19.50 – $21 per hour, based on experience.

THE LOCATION – Manufacturing in Langford

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
• Receive and stock inventory accordingly
• Cut material and prepare packages for customers
• Auditing completed orders for accuracy
• Move inventory using forklift
• Minimize scrap and waste
• Process returns
• Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping of work areas
• Perform weekly inventory counts and stock merchandise
• Other duties as assigned by management

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid forklift certification (propane) is an asset
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Experience using a chainsaw is an asset
• Physical requirements include:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
