Work Type: Full Time

Shift: 7.5 Hour Shifts- Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm

Summary:

This position performs general maintenance duties that do not require a trade license branching a wide variety of tasks (ie. Assist all trades, pick up parts, hang fixtures on the walls, assemble items). The individual also assesses issues and reports back, provides preventative maintenance on some assets and systems, assists with small moves, assists contractors, provides first response for various Codes and orders parts and supplies, as well as troubleshooting customer issues.

Qualifications:

• Secondary school completion
• Must have computer experience with a variety of software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must have prior experience working in a maintenance role
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize work assignments
• Must be able to work in an environment where priorities frequently change
• Effective communication and planning skills
• Must be self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to assemble materials and fixtures
• Experience with small hand tools
• Problem solving skills
• Demonstrate safe working practices in regards to working at heights, vehicle operation, WHMIS, infection control practices, and other safety considerations applicable to a care environment
• Troubleshooting of various equipment and fixtures
• Evidence of good attendance record
• Clean drivers abstract
