Job description: GENERAL MANAGER / SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (ICI Building Envelope) – Toronto, ON
$130K, plus benefits, bonuses, perks

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding leadership by executing company vision, gaining buy-in and supporting company goals
• Bring a creative approach to leading, and managing a successful team of 20+
• Oversee and manage all Projects in the Building Envelope division
• Work closely with sales in closing high value clients
• Work with estimating department to ensure contracts are accurate re: scope of work, budgets, risk mitigation etc.
• Manage all departments within division including labour resources and scheduling, estimating department, production managers, & project managers
• Promote continuous improvement to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance employee and customer satisfaction while ensuring safety-first protocols are top priority
• Ensure the division operations has the necessary resources in place to achieve company goals
• Set clear expectations and work closely with managers to regularly assess project progress, profitability, compliance and quality control systems and ensure necessary action is taken
• Manage construction works carried out by contractors, including oversight of timelines, cost, quality, safety and environmental requirements of construction activities are met.
• Provide leadership with on-going reports of division activities, progress, challenges/solutions etc.
• Engage in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with customers, company leadership, vendors, external resources, and business community
• Develop and implement programs to promote positive company culture, training programs, succession planning to ensure employee retention

What you bring to the table:

• 12+ years in project management in ICI building envelope
• Some sales & estimating experience in commercial and high rise preferred
• Experience dealing with trades, installation and service crews with some fabrication exposure preferred
• Experience with cladding, and waterproofing a definite asset
• Business degree or equivalent years of experience
• Proven track record of successfully leading a division/company and experience in bidding, contracting and negotiating
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proven ability to mentor, coach and inspire teams of people
