Job Description

We are currently looking for several roles within Global Supply Chain (GSC) based out of our Oshawa Assembly location. In this role, you will manage the processes required to schedule and deliver all production parts from the supplier to the Assembly Plant. Some of these roles are listed below but this list is not all inclusive:

EWO/TWO Coordinator

GEPICS Coordinator

Material Flow Coordinator

3P/VAA Coordinator

Packaging Planner

VBIMS Coordinator

PFEP/Scheduling Coordinator

Additionally, you will be part of the team responsible for meeting production schedules as well as meeting departmental/plant budget in addition to the following.

All Required Safety Training under GWSS

All required Global Manufacturing System (GMS) Training

Uphold GM’s vision, values, and cultural behaviors

Develop and drive a safe, inclusive culture within the plant

Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes

Understood and effective use of Global Manufacturing System

Manage day to day operations at the facility and coordinate activities within or across plant departments

Achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environmental metrics

Achieve budget goals

Lead and teach all GMS operating requirements

Work closely with other departments within and outside of the manufacturing production team and maintains strong relationships with other plants and external customers

Constantly work to improve the “Workplace of Choice” environment. Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures

Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements

Be flexible to work over multiple shifts

Additional Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization’s business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.

Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers

– Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production

– Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.

– Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.

– Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership

– Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.

– Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.

– Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.

– Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.

– Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.

– Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions

Post Secondary Degree or Diploma
