Job description: Lazy F D Ranches & Hay Sales Ltd. is seeking a Hay Farm Manager for our hay production ranches in Prince George, BC. It’s a full-time position.

Expected start date as soon as possible. Pay will be based on experience.

Main responsibilities and duties as a Hay Farm Manager include but are not limited to:

• Operate farm equipment including tractors and implements (swathers, rakes, balers)

-Check and inspect various types of agriculture equipment, including tractors, farm implements, trucks, trailers, loaders, chainsaws and other agriculture equipment; perform repairs and maintenance on agricultural equipment..

– harrow, seed, irrigate, harvest hay crops – into large round bales, large square bales and haylage using large agricultural equipment;

– perform snow removal in winter and maintain roads in summer;

• Strictly follow all safety rules and procedures; • Perform other general farm duties as required.

• 1.5 – 2 years work experience as a farm manager;

• Must have valid class 5 driving license

• Previous welding work experience/college certificate is an asset; • Must be able to speak, read and write in English;

• Farm is located in Prince George. Living accommodation is available.
