As our Head of IT & Security at Mogo you will hold overall responsibility for infrastructure, monitoring, compliance and support. You will champion innovative cutting-edge initiatives and secure Mogo’s place as a leader in data privacy, information security and incident response management. You are curious, strategic, entrepreneurial and are adept at tackling both strategy and execution to drive initiatives forward and achieve corporate objectives.

What you’ll do:

Lead the technical support, technological infrastructure and cyber security functions of a high-growth publicly traded company, ensuring a scalable strategy is in place and executed upon at a high level
Lead the IT and security diligence, integration and/or execution process for various transformational initiatives including new products, acquisitions, investments, mergers and partnerships
Research, identify and implement tools, systems, and technologies that enable us to innovate at a fast pace without compromising the availability, efficiency and security of our services
Responsible for the development and management of a multi-cloud environment
Establish and maintain appropriate and scalable IT, security and data protection policies and practices and manage adherence to all regulatory requirements
Elevate internal processes and controls to meet the requirements of the SOX compliance framework around IT general controls, including controls around system access, program change and development, backup and recovery, and IT applications
Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
Provide leadership, including mentorship, performance management and career development to a high performing team
Manage the IT budget with an eye on performance, frugality and scalability

What you’ll need:

10+ years of progressively senior management experience in high-growth publicly-traded organizations
Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls and compliance frameworks within scaling organizations (PCI, SOX, SOC, other related controls)
M&A experience, specifically, experience leading IT and security related diligence and integration in a regulated environment
Experience scaling IT infrastructure and security demands in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
In-depth knowledge of AWS and multi-cloud infrastructure environments

Demonstrated experience building and managing a multi-million dollar budget
Proven track record of recruiting, retaining and scaling high-performing passionate teams that set the standard for customer service and technical excellence
Intrinsic curiosity and an eagerness to learn new technologies and skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to be persuasive and effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
