Job title: Health and Safety Officer
Job description: Do you possess a background in safety in the workplace and are looking for a change? If so you may be the candidate we are looking for. Our client in the Ottawa region has an immediate need for a Health and Safety Officer. As the Healthy and Safety Officer, you would be part of the Human Resource team and reporting to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
– Travel to all office locations in the Ottawa region
– Prepare and deliver presentations
– Maintain organization within health and safety committees
– Respond to health and safety concerns and investigate accordingly
– Review on-the-job accidents and injuries
– Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
– Bilingual (French and English)
– Valid G class license, and possess own car
– 5+ years experience
– Post-secondary education in Health and Safety or related field
– Certificate registered safety CRST
– Safety certificate training a strong asset
– Must be able to remain Analytical and possess strong communication skills
– Demonstrates strong attention to detail
