Job title: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Job description: Top Gun Feeders Inc. (a division of Titan Livestock Group of Companies), located in Moose Jaw, SK, is currently looking for an energetic individual to fill the position of full time Mechanic.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with mechanical heavy duty and automotive maintenance and repair
– Operate and repair various agriculture and construction equipment including skid steer, box scraper, UTV, loader and dump truck.
Additional duites as required:
– Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
– Some welding as needed
– Assist with yard maintenance
– Maintenance and repair of feed bunks and water bowls
– Clean up of yard, pens, roads, buildings, and fields
– Assist with livestock management
– Other projects/duties as assigned
Requirements:
– Minimum of 1 year experience as a heavy duty/automotive mechanic or 2 year school diploma
– Prior agriculture/feedlot experience an asset
– Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating equipment including skid steer, loaders etc.
– Must be able to perform manual physical labour
– Experience operating a UTV required
– Excellent communication and strong organization skills
– Must be self-motivated
– Must have a positive team player attitude
– Physically fit and able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs and to bend and kneel with comfort
– Must be flexible and able to work days, evening, weekends, holidays and longer hours/days during busy seasons
– Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, oral)
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident or valid open work permit)
– Own transportation is required
Wage is dependent on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package including matching RRSP program.
