Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant is a professional who acts as a resource to staff including the HR Generalists, Consultants, Service Representative and the Education & Student Placement Specialist functions. The incumbent assists with the day to day activities and processes within Corporate Human Resources reporting to HR leadership.

Hours
Monday – Friday 3-days/week with opportunity for up to 37.5 hours based on organizational needs & incumbent availability

Required

  • Successful completion of post-secondary studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or Business Sales & Marketing;
  • Minimum of 1- years’ experience in Human Resources support role or other equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Able to demonstrate high attention to detail and focus on quality of work through interactive interview process;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills;
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office software: Word; Excel; Outlook and; video conference software (e.g. zoom); and
  • Flexibility with hours of work to support and attend recruitment events.

Preferred

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System such as Njoyn and a Human Resources Information System; and
  • Experience with advertising and use of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) and/or web development/updates.

Duties

Acts as a resource to staff in supporting the following functions including but not limited to:

– HRIS data entry;
– Recruitment related report generation/creation;
– Creation and editing of job postings and offer letters;
– Creating and editing of interview guides and development of scoring criteria;
– Development of social media advertisements;
– Assists with internal/external job posting;
– Assists and supports recruitment events tasks;
– Assists with interview coordination/invites;
– Assists with Service award coordination and event tasks;
– Assists with staff enrolment for annual and ongoing e-learning education;
– Assists with new hire onboarding activities;
– Assists with HOOPP pension enrollments/maintenance;
– Departmental filing and scanning;
– Assists with research/audits as requested; and
– Other duties as assigned by HR leadership.
