Job description: Miles HR has an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Professional to assist with the implementation and evaluation of a new HR Information System (HRIS) for an organization in the government non-profit sector.
This role is best suited to the HR practitioner who has successfully been on the implementation team for all stages of an HRIS system. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience and is able to provide the insight of HR knowledge, practices, and processes.
Position Overview:
As a Human Resources professional you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and evaluation of the new HRIS system. This 3-month part-time contract offers you the opportunity to showcase your extensive HR experience, project management skills, and technical expertise in a dynamic environment. This position will start at 15 hours a week through the initial analysis and review stages until mid-November whereby hours will increase to 30 during implementation and testing.
There is a potential to transition into a permanent Human Resources Generalist role in 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their HRIS needs and requirements.
- Supporting implementation; migration/populating the new system
- Supporting the planning and execution of the HRIS implementation project, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct a thorough evaluation of the system’s functionality, usability, and effectiveness from a Human Resources perspective.
- Provide training and support to staff and end-users to ensure a smooth transition to the new HRIS.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the implementation process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Document SOP’s
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in HR technology.
- Additional Human Resource duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/ Certificate in Human Resources
- CPHR an asset
- Minimum 4 years HR Generalist experience
- Proven experience in HRIS implementation and evaluation
- Experience with Bamboo HR, Ceridian, Ripling, or WebHR is an asset
- Experience documenting SOP’s
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor project tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
