Job description: Our client is seeking a Human Resources Generalist – People & Culture for their busy practice. The successful Human Resources professional will work on performance management, strategic planning, manage education partnership relationships and identify areas for improvement, and implement effective HR practices.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a busy medical practice with clinics in Langley and Surrey. The Human Resources Generalist – People & Culture practitioner can be based in any office but is expected to spend time in all three. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Finance and focus on implementing clearly defined HR practices. This will involve reviewing and updating current practices and contributing to new processes. The Human Resources Generalist – People & Culture professional will participate in recruitment, employee engagement and performance management and staff scheduling. Flexibility and availability on Saturday are required.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Human Resources Generalist – People & Culture will be responsible for updating and implementing HR best practices, act as the main point of contact for all employee related questions and issues, manages staff scheduling, contributes to the recruitment process, fosters education institution partnerships, and performance management. This is a role that will require availability on Saturdays and is in office.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Acts as the main point of contact for employee questions.

Manages education institution partnerships and builds relationships.

Supports recruitment and manages the onboarding process.

Maintains all employee files.

Performance management.

Identifies, updates, implements, and revises hr best practices.

Contributes to succession planning.

Benefits administration.

Payroll administration.

Leads all HR communication.

THE REQUIREMENTS

University degree or diploma in Human Resources.

CPHR designation; will consider in progress, however preference is for this to be completed.

3+ years of experience in a human resources role.

Experience in a medical, or clinical setting is an asset.

Prior experience leading the performance management process.

Must have experience implementing HR policies, and programs.

Experience scheduling employees is desired.

Excellent communication skills.

Must be able approachable and be able to manage challenging conversations and situations.

Flexibility to be available Saturdays, or available to work Tuesday – Saturday schedule.

Reliable vehicle, and able to work in both Surrey and Langley.

Ability to pass background and education verification.

COMPENSATION

Annual salary range $65,000 – $75,000 depending on experience and education. 3 weeks vacation to start, benefits after probation and education support.
