- Provide personal care and attention to each colleague that they interact with.
- Maintain records on behalf of the department, ensuring that a filing system is established and that documents are readily available when needed.
- Organize and maintain departmental supplies and equipment.
- Attend and participate in department meetings/briefings
- Observe the day to day activities of the department, and what is required to be a successful contributing team member.
- Update, replenish, and check bulletin board notices and other posters and/or communication around the hotel.
- Update and replenish HR forms
- Draft Employment Letters
- Create and draft colleague Birthday and Anniversary lists
- Assist in preparation and execution of Colleague Engagement activities
- Prepare Name Tags for new colleagues
- Assist in preparation and execution of employee recognition program monthly ceremony
- Assist in Recruitment:
- Screening resumes
- Calling to schedule interviews
- Conduct reference checks
- Prepare onboarding documentation
- Management of training room bookings/ reservations
- Management of Training Attendance and reports
- Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.

Other Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality / HR Management Certificate/Degree program that requires an internship/co-op placement
- Previous experience within an international world class hotel brand is an asset.
- Previous experience in a customer service capacity
- Working knowledge of Windows based programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Minimum education requirements: High school diploma
