Job title: HVAC Technician’s Assistant/Labourer Position @ Family Run Business
Job description: We are a small family owned and operated HVAC company looking to hire someone onto our team for a starting part time training assistant/labourer position which can potentially become a full time position. We do not require you to have experience in HVAC but we will require you to have competent control and knowledge of a wide variety of hand & power tools. This knowledge will include for example proper stance for using these tools on a ladder, if needed, or drilling holes in wood frame, siding etc. We expect that once you begin, you will be loading the tools each day for each job in the work van and assisting the cleanup the site at the end of the day. You should be capable from time to time to properly lift medium heavy items as well.
Having a good sense of safety on the job is important, knowing and using safety procedures and protocols on how to use tools properly and how to conduct yourself at a construction site is also important. Please have appropriate construction grade ware to wear as well (steel toed boots, appropriate dress).
Hours are usually 8:30AM-4:30PM but sometimes extended hours depending on the project. We do not work on Saturday. If you are a go getter, can be easily taught, independent after receiving instruction, then this position is for you!
