Who you are
As the imagery data technician, you will be responsible for labelling our image data set that will be used to deliver reliable and high quality outputs for our growers. You are self motivated, and don’t mind performing repetitive tasks. You take pride in the quality of your work because you know it will impact how effective growers manage their crops.
This position is particularly suited to those that have an interest in agriculture and tech, but this is not a requirement to succeed at the job.
Requirements
Candidates should be proactive, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours. This position will require a commitment of 3-6 hours a day, 3-6 days per week including regularly scheduled weekends. The preferred start date for this position would be as early as June 28th and a negotiable end date between Oct 1 – Nov 1.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Meticulous in nature with an attention for detail
- Confident in their ability to recognize patterns
- Able to repetitively collect and record information with a consistently high-degree of accuracy
- Willing to be taught to identify specific agricultural pests and crops stages in images
- Comfortable with basic technologies (eg. smart phones, internet, apps) and Microsoft Office and/or G Suite
Nice to have
- Experience in data entry or other forms of repetitive work
- Experience in crop scouting or insect identification
