What you’ll do

Teaching courses both in-person and remotely using the university’s eLearn learning management system. These courses include both lower and upper level Health Promotion courses. The instructor will be expected to have health promotion knowledge and experience in the health promotion/public health field. In addition, knowledge of health programming, contemporary health issues, BC, Canadian and global health policy and leadership.
What you’ll bring

REQUIRED

• Master’s degree in population health, health science, kinesiology (preferred), or health related field
• Experience in teaching at a post-secondary institution; preferred courses in health policy, health program planning, health and aging.
• The ability to engage students through a combination of theoretical content-based and applied teaching methods; and
• The capacity to apply and integrate content related knowledge in health promotion

PREFERRED

• Ph.D. in health policy, public health, kinesiology, health or related fields
• 5 years of teaching experience at a post-secondary institution
• Research experience in health promotion, kinesiology or health
• In-person and/or online teaching experience with relevant pedagogy and technology knowledge
• Adult education training and/or qualifications;
• Academic publication(s) on relevant topic(s) or in related field(s).
