Job Summary
The Irrigation Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and assessing all plants nutrient requirements, consistent with Zenabis Grow Plan and expectations. The Irrigation Supervisor will oversee a team and will ensure all Irrigation tasks in the cultivation and growing area are met. The Irrigation Supervisor will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Irrigation strategy follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and meets compliance standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise effectiveness of irrigation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory framework
- Ensure nutrient mix and feed rate are followed in line with expectations and standards
- Oversee Irrigation Team to ensure plant health targets are achieved
- Maintain and promote a positive work environment through collaborative discussions and structured team communications
- Ensure Irrigation strictly adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ensures Irrigation Team activities are compliant with all Health Canada standards
- Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance to ensure necessary practices are followed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or equivalent commercial growing experience would be preferred.
- Pesticide applicators license
- Demonstrated experience in cultivation of Cannabis or other delicate commercial crops
- Expert knowledge in plant disease and pest mitigation without use of chemicals
- Experience with automated environmental control software, programming, determining set points and monitoring practices
- Health Canada Security Clearance will be required
- Knowledge and compliance with GPP and GMP will be required
Salary
Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Weekend work may be required for plant maintenance.
