Job Description

As an IT Administrator working primarily at our Lambeth window manufacturing facility, you are a key member of the Gentek team. You will provide network and helpdesk support to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. Does this sound like work you enjoy and can handle? Allow us to tell you more.

Your key relationships will be with our IT team, the Plant Manager, production employees, and external vendors. Specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Corporate IT in setup and maintenance of network operations, including assembly of network hardware, infrastructure, telephony, and connectivity equipment
• Performing data and network backups based on established procedures, ensuring both company and legal compliance
• Troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve network problems
• Collect contact and information from users, open new or update existing tickets; responding to user requests to investigate and resolve hardware and software problems
• Providing technical support to both office employees and plant machines/printers
• Participating in budget planning and procurement activities
• Providing support services as needed to our Burlington manufacturing plant – biweekly travel and mileage paid for
• Develop custom data reports that drive plant performance initiatives
• Learning and programming in Lambeth’s production software(ProvideX – Business Basic)

Qualifications

Of course we need someone reliable – both in terms of the skillset you need to perform the tasks but also in terms of the personable and cooperative disposition you will bring to our team. Here’s what else we need you to bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related discipline
• 3+ years in an IT Administrator/Technical Support role
• Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Interpersonal and oral communication skills to discuss system failures with users and recommend/explain solutions and concepts in non-technical term.
• Basic programming knowledge or willingness to learn
• Demonstrated proficiency in Window and Linux operating systems
• Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access
