The team:
Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Service Assets & Configuration Management department is responsible for the management of the Bank’s hardware IT assets throughout their lifecycle from acquisition to retirement. We are also responsible for the creation of standard IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and oversight for adherence to the processes from our global partners.
The role:
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will play a critical part in the management of the Bank’s hardware IT assets by implementing the standard ITAM processes globally, creating and sharing compliance reports to the ITAM teams in each region, and tracking compliance activities to ensure teams are meeting targets for the IT Asset database accuracy and completeness. You will also be responsible for the evergreen program to refresh end of life assets, asset reclamation activities, reporting on IT asset inventory, and maintenance of the asset request and fulfillment workflows within Service Now.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- You have strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
- You have at least 2+ years of hands-on working experience in an IT Asset Management role.
- You have at least 2+ years of hands-on working experience with the use of Request, Asset (Hardware) and Reporting modules within Service Now.
- You have at least 2+ years of working experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- You have at least 2+ years of hands-on working experience with using Power BI and Microsoft Excel for data modelling, advanced formulas, power queries and building interactive dashboards.
- You possess problem solving, analytical and excellent attention to detail skills.
- Post secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
- You are certified in ITIL Foundation v4.
- Completion of ITAM certificates (CHAMP, CHAM) are an asset.
