Then you will help be a part of making these solutions a reality.

Your role within the team will by dynamic. You’ll do things like:

Draw people out and get them to share their knowledge and insight. You are adept at talking to people and asking the right questions.

Uncover and analyze technology solution requirements. Then clearly capture and communicate them, so everyone has a shared understanding of what needs to be built.

Analyze business systems and work to resolve complex problems.

Create User Stories, Epics, supplementary build documentation, implementation plans, handover documentation, data mapping documentation, and any other kind of communications or documentation needed by your team.

Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerBI, Powerpoint, OneNote, Visio), MS Teams and Sharepoint.

This is the job for you because:

The analysis profession isn’t new to you. You’ve spent four years or more growing your knowledge, skills and experience in this line of work.

You have really good communications skills. You write well, you can present information well, and you are a great listener.

You are familiar with a variety of analysis techniques and types of models for capturing technology solution requirements.

You have a keen interest in building digital solutions to Business problems and opportunities.

You learn fast. You pick up new ideas, concepts, technologies, and tools easily – and you’re eager to always learn more.

You are knowledgeable when it comes to technology solutions and the way that they are built – and confident in diving into the technical details of how a technical solution is being created. You may not personally be able to code software – but you know how to” talk the talk” of the people that do.

You have an approachable style that just makes people want to work with you – and that helps build relationships between others.

You “go with the flow” and adapt to change – whether you’re asked to learn a new tool, try a new modelling technique, or adjust to new ideas and ways of doing things on your team.

You are comfortable driving solution progress forward – even when you don’t have all the answers – or we are still figuring out the details. Dealing with uncertainty is no big deal for you.

You are comfortable with a variety of approaches to delivering technology solutions. Agile experience is key, but you are also familiar with waterfall delivery or working with an evolving blend of both.

You are always learning and actively look to be more expert tomorrow than you are today. We love to find people who pursue personal development and have obtained a degree, diploma or professional accreditation in analysis.

You’re someone who not only sees problems and gaps but takes initiative to help figure out the best way to solve them. You don’t like to just stand by when there’s something that could work better for your solutions, your team, or Manulife.

You can’t help but jump in if there’s someone that needs a hand – or some unexpected task that needs to be done. In fact, your personal motto could be, “How can I help?”.

You already know a bit about financial companies, investment products and the types of technology solutions that allow a Business to manage them. You are familiar with how financial companies support the individuals who advise and help customers make investment decisions.

You enjoy working in an inclusive organization, and are excited to be a part of a geographically and culturally diverse team

You’re an enthusiastic team player who always thinks about the customer experience in everything you are a part of delivering.

Depending on the level of experience, candidates may be considered for an IT Business Associate or Intermediate IT Business Analyst position
