What you’ll be doing?

Aligned with the Product Owner’s priorities, you’ll provide support across the product development life cycle. Your primary mandate is to select appropriate analysis techniques for requirements elicitation and to document them into clear user stories in a balanced product backlog. User stories drive the development of well-thought through, yet simple and reusable solutions that deliver regular incremental value for the line of business and its’ clients.

You’ll work with stakeholders across our organisation, building and maintaining strong and trusting relationships.

You will keep up to date with industry best practices, networking across the business, but also externally so that you understand market trends. Effectively this will help you to contribute to our BA community, sharing ideas and knowledge with your peers across the organization.

Driving continuous improvement is not just a mandate in your day-to-day role, but who you are. We will give you the tools and techniques to become fully competent in your role, but it is up to you to open the door to new opportunities within our organisation.

What are we looking for?

You’re naturally inquisitive with the ability to ask the right questions and really get to the root of the requirements. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills ensuring and encouraging others to be articulate, concise and unambiguous. Pragmatic yet also innovative with a solution-oriented mindset; although the details matter, you can elicit requirements from the stakeholder group and communicate your ideas.

Being analytical and solution focused is essential. You will need the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the Product Owner and the wider team(s). As we work in this ‘new world’ it is important for us that you are self-motivated with energy and enthusiasm to succeed and drive results.

Experience in the core principles of Business Analysis or experience within a role that has clear transferable skills that align to the role of a BA.

3-5 years of relevant business analysis experience

Undergraduate degree

Experience working in an Agile product development team (preferred)

Business analysis courses or qualifications (preferred)

Excellent communicator (written and verbal); effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to break down complex domains quickly and translate them more simply and effectively

Strong influencing and negotiation skills; able to manage positive and effective negotiations with stakeholders

Motivated and pragmatic

Team orientated

Methodical, conscientious and quality driven

Keen to learn

High attention to detail

Approachable and available
