IT Business Systems Analyst

Job Overview

Job title: IT Business Systems Analyst

Company: VPI

Job description: Working as a key member of the I.T team, your role will be challenging and varied. Duties will include:
Analyzing and documenting user requirements
Preparing use cases
Reviewing and documenting processes
Preparing application training documentation
Conducting audits and preparing system configuration documentation
Developing technical documentation libraries
Assist in preparing, validating, and distributing internal reports
Project research
Job Requirements: Company seeks an organized and motivated I.T business (BA) or systems analyst (SA) with at least 3-5 years of experience in an I.T related BA/SA role. This is not a role that you can grow, so candidates without the required experience will not be considered.
As part of the I.T team, you can expect to learn new skills and cross-train on various aspects of daily IT operations. You must, therefore, be flexible and willing to step outside your comfort zone. Working as part of a team is essential, but the ideal candidate will be self-starting and eager to add value.
As with any busy I.T department, there is an expectation that you may be asked to stay late from time to time as the need arises to make sure that the job gets done. You may also be asked to participate in an out of hours on-call service at some point in the future. Watching the clock is not an option.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively. They will be able to work with non-technical users and develop abstract ideas into meaningful requirements. Company is looking for a confident and articulate person ready for the next challenge in their career.
Experience in creating UML documents and diagrams would be desirable, as would a knowledge of Crystal reports.
