Mogo is looking for a passionate and driven individual with the ability to take ownership to become our Infrastructure Architect. Reporting to the Manager of IT Infrastructure and Support and working with our close-knit technical team, this role would require the successful candidate to have the hustle to hit the ground running, while navigating Mogo’s elaborate landscapes. What you’ll do:
- Architect, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure and services running in AWS and Azure
- Be an integral part of IT Infrastructure operations, strategic planning and implementation
- Implement, monitor and maintain Linux and Windows server environments
- Administer and support corporate networking environments (ex. Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, etc.)
- Administer and support Microsoft On-premise and Office 365 cloud services
- Automate and continuously improve IT processes
- Monitor and maintain existing IT systems and scale for growth
- Serve as a senior technical resource for IT operational support escalations
- Collaborate with team members and cross functional teams to complete projects, resolve operational support issues and provide solutions to complex technical problems
- Define improvements to increase system reliability and performance
- Follow, support, and promote ongoing improvements to project methodologies, change management, security and corporate IT policies
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Provide technical documentation for infrastructure projects, systems, and changes
- Act as a brand ambassador for Mogo, regularly using our suite of products, sharing the brand with friends and family, and providing feedback to the team for improvements
What you’ll need:
- 6+ years industry experience in designing, integrating and supporting enterprise cloud environments and complex infrastructure solutions
- A post secondary IT related diploma or degree
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred)
- Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a distributed computing environment
- Experience deploying and managing AWS cloud services including IAM, EC2, ELB, NLB, RDS, Route53, Lambda, and Transit Gateway
- Hands-on experience leading the design and deployment of business software and services at scale
- Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment
- Experience with web technologies and building enterprise architecture roadmaps
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
- Understanding of IT compliance, program and control frameworks, and risk management frameworks (ex. IT General Controls, ISO 27001, SOX, PCI, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management using CloudFormation or other CM tools
- Experience with Microsoft server technologies including MSSQL, Sharepoint, CRM, Great Plains as well as Microsoft 365 online services.
- Scripting experience (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Proficient in IT Governance, network security, network components and Active Directory
