Major Purpose

Reporting to the Director, Product Development, the IT Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall IT infrastructure of Agility PR Solutions and to manage the daily operations of the IT Team, related projects, and cybersecurity.

The IT Manager will supervise and actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing and networking needs, ensure our staff (in Canada, the US, and overseas) are adequately supported via the internal helpdesk, be responsible for shaping and implementing the IT policies, manage procurement and asset lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have proven skills, professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Ensure systems are adequately covered by backups, and restore tests are carried out accordingly.
• Manage cybersecurity, security awareness trainings, and vulnerability scanning.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Participate in budget planning and manage software and hardware assets.
• Hands-on with local network and cloud infrastructure planning and operation.

• 3+ years proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline).
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems, such as Dell laptops and servers, FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switches, VMware, Microsoft Windows and Office365.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, switch and firewall administration and troubleshooting.
• Proven record of team leadership experience.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
• Competency in one of the following is preferred:

• CCNA or CCNP certification
• CISM, CISSP or CEH certification
• Experience with Azure and AWS infrastructure management
