IT Foundations and Cloud Services comprises over 250 individuals specializing in software development, testing, Agile project management, product management, software architecture and platform administration. We design and deliver IT solutions in Agile mode and are responsible for the company’s central and highly critical platforms. We work in mission-critical 24/7 environments with the discipline and practices that such work entails (automated testing, continuous non-regression, proactive alerts, stress and intrusion testing, etc.).

As an IT Product Manager, you will help ensure IT efficiency by analyzing, designing and updating programming algorithms (computer software and Web applications) and the architecture of IT tools (software, networks, databases, etc.). You ensure consistency with the organization’s current and future needs and structure, while also ensuring that new components are compatible with the existing architecture (software applications, products, services, etc.).
You will lead and influence development projects and complex, highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You will help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives will require extensive knowledge of your field.
You will make recommendations on solutions architecture and the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you will frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.
You will serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.

- Help draw up a roadmap that is in keeping with Desjardins Group’s needs and target business solutions
- Maintain the platform roadmap
- Relay instructions and guidelines, segmentation criteria and all information related to platform technologies to the platform product owners (PO)
- Monitor the market and internal needs
- Participate in design reviews
- Teach, share and spread the word about SOA and EDA concepts, the micro-services approach, etc.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of a relevant experience
- Experience with an enterprise platform of the same scope

- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge
- Knowledge of the SAFe model (an asset)
- Advanced French oral and written communication skills
- Independent speaker, upper intermediate knowledge of English
