Roles we are currently recruiting for:

Project Coordinator, Student

The Project Coordinator assists the core project team by executing various administrative project related tasks. There may be an opportunity to assist with more hands-on technical work such as integrating and testing new technologies, devices, etc.

  • Implementation/rollout support for ESL (Electronic Shelf Labels) project
  • Implementation/rollout support for Ruggedized Tablet project (subject to funding approval)
  • Implementation/rollout support for In-Store Kiosk refresh (subject to funding approval)
  • Other projects if/when they are approved
  • Organizing, maintaining, documenting: project/team scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, JIRA/Confluence, ad-hoc minutes
  • Possible support of technology: tablets, media players, touch screens, etc.
  • General technology related tasks, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Monitoring deployment schedules, project emails, etc.

IT Project Analyst, Student

Project Coordinator would be working in a small team to implement network projects across all CTR banners.

  • Will be working with the project team to rollout and implement a new network solution across all CTR banners
  • Working closely with the PM and Technical Lead to document and put together project deliverables.

Acquisitions Specialist, Student

The Acquisitions Specialist student combines their passion for infrastructure and hardware technology with strong leadership, communication, documentation, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills. The candidate will be responsible for assisting members of the Acquisitions and Concept Renewal team in assisting existing and new stores with their technology needs such as servers, tablets, cash registers, self-checkout units, printers, thin clients, UPSs, RF guns, Lockers, ESL, etc. in over 500 Canadian Tire Retail stores.

The candidate will be responsible for specific work streams to ensure that documentation is built for all existing processes to support the sustainment of technology. The candidate will interface with inter-departmental teams, store staff and our vendor partners to ensure new technology is successfully ordered and delivered on time.

What you bring:

  • Undergrad in IT, Business or Engineering
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Good attention to detail and strong presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Quality focussed and customer oriented
  • Ability to plan and organise and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a supportive team member
  • Assets
  • Previous agile project experience
  • Previous Co-op term experience
  • Proficient in written and spoken French is nice to have
  • Previous retail experience (i.e. Part-Time work)
  • General technical acumen
