Job description: Buyerlink is looking for an IT Project Manager who is interested in gradually transitioning to a blended Project/Product Operations Manager role. The IT Project Manager will support the Buyerlink business in our well established verticals, liaise between business and engineering teams to ensure business development projects get completed, and operationally explore the next generation of our Buyerlink platform in the cloud.

Who You Are

You are passionate about building products that customers love. You will not only help build the product, but also be the voice of our customers. You will undertake market research on new products, establish timelines for developing products, and collaborate on the development of the messaging and market positioning around products.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure all aspects of project planning and execution phases across business, product, design, and engineering teams, including detailing and assigning work package plans, are meeting business objectives.
  • Meet regularly with different teams to follow up on tasks, deliverables, and issues.
  • Track project plan-to-baseline against time constraints.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, specifications, and timelines that design and engineering teams can easily follow for existing and new products.
  • Manage project scope and handle change requests using appropriate documentation.
  • Log, monitor, and handle project issues, as well as analyzing and recommending viable alternatives.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed and stored where accessible. Documentation can include: Statement of Work, plan, schedule, scope changes log, issues log, risk assessment, detailed business logic, process maps, and minutes of status meeting.
  • Ensure quality standards are met on all deliverables through rigorous and detailed testing procedures.
  • Identify and manage risks that would impact the delivery of the project and act proactively to resolve issues.
  • Assess the success of products/features through quantitative and qualitative data and determine necessary enhancements to assist in product development.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of One Planet and industry products, solutions, and company offerings.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all projects, provide status updates and reports/daily briefs for all stakeholders.

Experience You Will Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in project management.
  • A track record of delivering results with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Adapt to a constantly changing environment and be available for project support outside of regular hours.
  • Knowledge of PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle) and experience with using productivity tools: JIRA, Confluence, G-Suite, etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management across several knowledge areas: Scope, Risk, Quality, Communication, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Able to “speak the language” of design and engineering teams when building a product
  • Data-driven and iterative learning style.
  • Experience optimizing and improving complex processes.
  • A self-starter with the know-how to balance getting the details right while moving fast.

Additional Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Any experience in product management or a desire to explore the field
  • Additional certifications/experience beyond post-secondary degree, such as PMP certification
  • Technical degree (CS, EE, etc.), or courses around data analysis, digital marketing, UI/UX design, or software development
  • Experience with Figma/prototyping tools
  • Experience with testing and QA
  • Worked at a rapidly growing startup, especially if your focus was on optimizing conversions
  • Experience with automotive, real estate, or home improvement sites
  • Experience building tools used by internal operations teams as well as external customers
  • Experience in the Ad Tech/Performance Marketing industry
