Your Job
The IT Project Manager must direct, plan and deliver all aspects of projects (business or IT) within the agreed scope, time, budget and quality according to Intact’s methodology. He must also build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure that the company makes a profit.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent business orientation and an understanding of the current strategic direction of Intact’s technologies. Master the Business Case while developing an understanding of the business field. Manage projects by understanding the company’s strategies, priorities and issues. Evaluate capabilities to be able to propose appropriate solutions and deliver company values. Manage stakeholders and maintain good relations with internal and external collaborators.
- Define the mandate of an IT program/project, as well as its scope, in collaboration with the program/project sponsors. Initiate activities for starting projects and develop a vision of the scope with the sponsor.
- Divide the project into achievable tasks and set up a functional organizational chart with roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and keep the program/projects’ integrated plans up to date by identifying the deliverables and dependencies, estimating the associated duration and costs and participating in assigning human resources to sub-activities. Provide timely advice to experts and sponsors all through the project to ensure target objectives are achieved. Ensure the project investment offers the best deliverables/products or optimum value to the client/sponsor.
- Build, lead and coordinate, in indirect supervision mode, the activities of a multidisciplinary team including technical resources and project control officers (PCOs).
- Write reports on the entire project (progress, issues, costs, closing, etc.) in compliance with key performance indicators(KPIs). Lead the project risk management. Efficiently manage project delivery. Maintain dashboards on a periodic and progressive basis all through the programs/projects.
- Anticipate issues and difficult situations and take the necessary steps to resolve them. Ensure proactive and effective communication at all the levels of the project. Ensure the right channels of communication are in place between project collaborators. Manage relationships with clients, top management and key project leads (if applicable) and meet their expectations.
- Provide leadership and vision to the project. Formalize processes and quality control.
- Assist with Intact’s project management practices and assist in their ongoing development. Act as a mentor to the project team members.
Your Skills
- Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent
- Discipline: Information Science
- Certification: PMP (asset)
- At least8-10 years in IT project management
Desirable experiences:
- A minimum of3-4 years in infrastructure project management
- Experience in project delivery in Agile mode
- A minimum of3 years in project management of IT solution delivery projects
- Experience in contract negotiations with the supply sector
- Experience in the delivery of large scale project to deploy enterprise solutions such as Workday.
- Experience working with project management tools (Clarity, MS Project, others)
- Experience in matrix resource management
