You are a tech savvy IT Professional who is successful in delivering exceptional solutions for your customers and stakeholders. Your initiative, passion for technology and exceptional decision making skills are strengths that will be critical to achieving the project goals. In this project manager role you will be responsible for the planning and successful delivery of the IT scope for large and medium sized projects with moderate risk and complexity for the Alberta region. Your projects will include network infrastructure, audio visual and custom solutions that will be used daily by TELUS team members.
Here’s how – you will be responsible for:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the internal customer and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with stakeholders to gather and clarify specific requirements of each project
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders as well as other staff members
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
Qualifications

Recognized for your record of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities while delivering on commitments and budget
Skillful at proactively identifying issues and opportunities, analyzing facts and data, and developing and implementing solutions to address
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical situations and the ability to cater the conversation to many different audiences
Valued for your 5 or more years of project management experience
Regarded as a builder of strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including vendors
Great-to-haves
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Experience in network infrastructure
Familiarity with project management methodologies, practices, and tools
Project Manager Certificate an asset (CAPM or PMP), Lean or Sigma
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
