Job title: IT Security Analyst

Job description: As the IT Security Analyst you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring overall system security and support. You are comfortable completing vulnerability assessments, evaluating information security controls and solutions, implementing Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions, detailed reporting, and providing remediation recommendations for identified issues. As part of the larger IT team, you will also support the overall IT function.

Responsibilities

Identify areas of improvement in IT infrastructure and policy and provide recommendations to management
Ensure IT security through testing, implementation, and policy
Developing security patching and monitoring policies and procedures
Scanning/Monitoring infrastructure and applications
General Support and management of all IT assets and accounts
Support and assist employees with IT related problems and issues
Working with IT Infrastructure; switches, SANS (Lenovo/Netapp), Hypervisors (ESXi), Linux server operating systems, Ubiquiti and Juniper Firewalls
Peer review change management plans and configurations with IT team

Requirements

University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3+ years experience in information security
Understanding of security assessment frameworks and procedures, including following industry best practice methodologies for penetration testing (e.g., OWASP guidelines).
Demonstrated experience running and managing network and application vulnerability scanning and assessment tools
Experience with Cloud66, Armor, DataDog, Microsoft 365 Endpoint and Mobile Device Management considered an asset
Some travel required
