Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Manager for our IT & Software Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) team. We have openings in our Greater Toronto Offices. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. As part of the SR&ED team, you interface with public and private sector CTO’s and developers who are doing leading edge development work, and assist them to create high quality SR&ED claims.

YOUR ROLE @ MNP

Performance Expectations

  • Assist clients to identify, prepare and claim projects under the SR&ED Tax Credit program
  • Identify industry advances within the IT / Software / Computer field and other areas of technical innovation
  • Write reports to provide an overview of the client development projects
  • Manage multiple assignments; and deliver assignments on time and on budget
  • Interact with Greater Toronto Area and Southwest Ontario peers, clients, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) representatives and the funding and investment community as a professional in your field
  • Network and market MNP SR&ED services to existing and prospective clients

Credentials

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of Industry experience in software development / technology such as: Developer, Senior Analyst or Consultant in product and tools development, implementation and integration, internal application development, etc
  • Exposure to current development technologies and environments which could include: cloud storage and computing, mobile app development, game development, web application development, etc. It would be an asset to have broad development experience with current technologies such as: PHP, XML, Java, .NET, SQL, Ruby, Python, Open source and Agile environments, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience writing and supporting IT based SR&ED claims
  • Focus on achieving high quality, timely and profitable results in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity / desire for continuous learning
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team
