Job title: IT Services Supervisor
Job description: Our client, an educational institution with a multi-location presence, is looking for an IT Services Supervisor. This is an opportunity to act as both a business partner and team leader, deploying support tools, services, and training. In addition, you will act as a liaison between management, leadership, and the IT Support Specialists.

You will:
- Support a team of six, coaching, providing level 1 support when volume increases, and acting as an escalation point for advanced or challenging help requests.
- Provide technical support, including training, to staff, faculty and students across all locations via the IT Helpdesk ticket system.
- Optimize systems and perform application upgrades for each location on a quarterly basis.
- Assist in software releases and rollouts according to change management best practices.
- Monitor and manage all IT-related equipment, including networking switches/routers, firewalls, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, and projectors.
- Ensure quality, test fixes, identify gaps, and make suggestions for continual improvement.
- Assist with technical projects.
You have:
- Experience supporting end-users and the business in a mid-size organization, with progressive responsibilities in a PC and Mac hybrid environment.
- Technical expertise working with Windows & Apple OSX management and administration in a moderate to large environment; IP networking, troubleshooting and management; on-premise wiring, troubleshooting and installation.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to connect business needs with computing systems design and implementation.
- Patience, empathy and professional communication skills.
- Collaboration skills to build relationships with business and IT stakeholders, vendors, and end-users and influence the productivity and satisfaction of a team.
- The project management. You have worked on long and short-term projects, ideally, software or system implementations, assisting with communication and documentation management, planning, and onboarding.
- The flexibility to supervise and respond to the needs of an always-available environment. You can travel to different locations within the downtown core for on-site work and provide emergency, escalated support after hours.
