Our client in the retail services industry is seeking an IT Supervisor for their growing shared services office in Guelph.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:
The IT Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT Service Desk and projects. We are looking for a well-spoken individual that can work on IT infrastructure projects and technical support requests to 800+ users in Canada and global users across several time zones.

• Coach and mentor Tech Support staff members on processes, applications, hardware, and related tools.
• Foster an engaging work environment within the department, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
• Handle escalations quickly and effectively.
• Represent IT at project meetings and working with other functional teams.
• Implementation/migration project experience.
• Working with global teams of IT & business professionals (800 users in Canada).
• Develop, plan and lead various information technology projects.
• Consistently look for ways to improve end user experience as well as the staff’s ability to support them.
• Develop and maintain internal process and training documentation.
• Work with IT Director on projects and escalate trouble tickets or requests when necessary.
• Communicate with external vendors when necessary to order equipment, services, and dispatches.
• Use the existing ticketing system and inventory management system for communication and documentation.
• Report any performance or team issues with IT Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook 356, SharePoint, VOIP systems, LogMeIn, Ticketing Systems
• ITIL / ITSM
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IT Infrastructure support in an enterprise environment
• 3+ years supervisory and leadership experience
• 3+ years IT project management experience

Travel

• As required (approximately 20%)
