Job description: Alteo is looking for an IT Support Specialist for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

– Provide technical support to all business users, locally and remotely
– Monitor and prioritize all customer request, fill out a ticket in the ticketing system and process the request
– Answer internal & external phones call for technical issues or requests and create tickets when appropriate
– Ensure problem resolution and/or problem escalation
– Troubleshoot PCs/Laptops, Printers, Software/OS, network connection issues and other IT issues
– Deploy new HW/SW when required.
– Maintain HW/SW inventory.
– Assist the local system administrator on daily activities.

Profile:

– AEC/DEC in IT or equivalent
– 4+ years of experience with a variety hardware, software, tools, and procedures
– Ability to proactively analyze system problems and determine patterns and root causes, proven problem-solving skills
– Organizational skills, initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team, local and remote.
– Available for emergency on-call 24/5 and occasional weekend work or outside business hours deployment.
– Must be dependable, reliable, and flexible
– Highly customer service oriented with a strong sense of ownership and focus on the quality of the deliverable
– Providing courteous, professional and pleasant service over the phone and in person.
– Technical skills: Windows 7/8/10, Office Suite/O365, VM Ware, Veeam Backup, Monitoring tools, VOIP, Mitel phone system, AntiVirus, MDT (Linux experience and ITIL process knowledge an asset)
– Ideally bilingual (English mandatory, French an asset)
